Tomorrow afternoon in Brooklyn, beautypreneur T. Bernie Bernard of COCOACHiC Beauty is hosting Yoga to the Curvy Curly in Fort Greene Park. Sponsored by EDEN BodyWorks, the afternoon affair will feature a lively discussion with industry experts Monique Schubert (Visual Artist & Yoga Teacher), Rebecca Casciano (Makeup & Wellness Consultant), and Leatrice Carter (owner, TIME Salon).

As many of you know, last night I had the honor of joining forces with my favorite beautypreneur, Ms. T. Bernie Bernard of COCOACHiC Beauty to co-host the “Haute Strut” Stiletto Power Speed Networking event. When she approached me with the request to collaborate I didn’t have to think twice. It just made sense. We’ve always admired each other’s work and both wanted to host a NYC event this summer so it didn’t take long for us to hit the ground running. Between the two of us, I really don’t know who’s schedule is crazier but thank Goddess, everything came together flawlessly!

Just in time for mom’s special day, a few of my favorite movers and shakers share the best advice they ever received from their own mothers and mother figures.

Andrews and Andrea Arterbery, Radio Personality Angela Yee, and The Fashion Bomb’s Claire Sulmers were our lovely hostesses for the Pretty Girls Rock Dresses event. As part of Dearroka Winfrey’s nationwide initiative, Pretty Girls Rock Dresses challenges women to “wear dresses and heels like our mothers and grandmothers” at least three times a week
