Last Sunday afternoon I had the honor of joining Latisha Daring of Ashtyn, LLC along with a room full of New York City beauties for the second installation of the Ladies Who Lunch event series. Guest speakers included: yours truly, Sonya Alleyne of Black Enterprise, Demetria Lucas of A Belle in Brooklyn, and Nadia L. Lopez of Mott Hall Bridges Academy. If you couldn’t make it out don’t fret. I’ve got pics galore and thanks to Latisha’s commitment to growing the Ladies Who Lunch movement, there’s always the next installation to look forward to!
What do you have planned for Sunday afternoon? Oh, you don’t have any plans yet? Now you do! Join me and a room full of dynamic women from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. at 320 Studios for the second installation of Latisha Daring’s “Ladies Who Lunch” series. This weekend’s event, appropriately titled “High Heels and High Tea” is a must-attend affair for women who are ambitious, focused, and passionate about their dreams. Join 100 of New York City’s flyest movers and shakers in an intimate afternoon of style, inspiration, and empowerment as we explore the world of entrepreneurship and what it takes to thrive as women in business.
Yesterday’s Ladies Who Lunch event hosted by Latisha Daring was a true blessing! 100 women from all over the Tri-State area made their way to Tribeca Grill to connect, uplift and inspire. I’m loving the movement taking place across the country as women embrace the fact that individually, we’re great but as a collective we’re unstoppable! Seeing so many sisters genuinely interested in helping the next woman realize her dreams has been SUCH a beautiful thing
If you know me (or my blog), you’re aware of the fact that as a Brooklyn resident, this borough’s entrepreneurial trailblazers hold a special place in my heart. As stated in previous posts, Latisha Daring was one of the first fly female entrepreneurs I met upon relocating from Chicago to Brooklyn in 2001. As the owner of Pieces of Brooklyn, Latisha (along with hubby, Colin) served as BK’s fashion gatekeepers for 10 years with one of the hottest boutiques around
