On the evening of May 7th, a couple hundred of Ursula Stephen’s staunch supporters descended upon Fort Greene, Brooklyn to celebrate the official opening of the talented stylist’s new salon. The space was packed from wall-to-wall with a fabulous mix of the beauty industry’s “who’s who”, Ursula’s supportive family and friends, clients, and well-wishers. 2012 was an unforgettable year for me and December’s “Beauties & Brains Behind the Brands” event was definitely a highlight. If you weren’t able to join us, we’ve got you covered. Our girls over at Mane Moves have produced an awesome video that truly captures the evening’s essence. Although I’d been living and breathing this event for the past few weeks, seeing this video was like TRULY being in the room for the first time. I definitely shed a few tears of pride and joy while viewing (yes, I’m a softie at times). There were so many brilliant and inspiring women in the room and so many jewels shared. As we all know, Hurricane Sandy is behind us but the widespread damage in the Tri-State area is not. With so many people still trying to return to a state of normalcy, I’ve decided to push back the event date for “Beauties & Brains Behind the Brands.” Thanks so much for your understanding and patience.
