To commemorate the launch of its new Coconut Shea collection, my client EDEN BodyWorks hosted “Style with EDEN” in New York City on Wednesday, March 20th at Midtown hot spot, Pranna. Guest speakers for the evening included: Celebrity Hair Stylist and Founder of Loving Your Hair with Natural Care, Felicia Leatherwood; BlackEnterprise.com Style Contributor and Image Consultant, Kéla Walker; Latisha Daring, Designer, Ashtyn LLC; and Milly Almodovar, Beauty Editor, Cosmopolitan for Latinas and founder, BeautyLogicBlog.com. The swanky after work affair gave New York City style mavens a chance to dig deep into their favorite topics: hair, beauty, and fashion with some of the best in the business.

2012 was an unforgettable year for me and December’s “Beauties & Brains Behind the Brands” event was definitely a highlight. If you weren’t able to join us, we’ve got you covered. Our girls over at Mane Moves have produced an awesome video that truly captures the evening’s essence. Although I’d been living and breathing this event for the past few weeks, seeing this video was like TRULY being in the room for the first time. I definitely shed a few tears of pride and joy while viewing (yes, I’m a softie at times). There were so many brilliant and inspiring women in the room and so many jewels shared. Last Thursday evening I joined forces with Brooklyn’s beauty hot spot, Polish Bar of Brooklyn, to celebrate the brand’s FAB 5 anniversary. If you’re not based here in New York City but read the blog regularly, you may remember Tricia Lee from her Fly Female Entrepreneur interview back in early 2009 when Polish Bar of Brooklyn was still the new kid on the block.
