As many of you know, last night I had the honor of joining forces with my favorite beautypreneur, Ms. T. Bernie Bernard of COCOACHiC Beauty to co-host the “Haute Strut” Stiletto Power Speed Networking event. When she approached me with the request to collaborate I didn’t have to think twice. It just made sense. We’ve always admired each other’s work and both wanted to host a NYC event this summer so it didn’t take long for us to hit the ground running. Between the two of us, I really don’t know who’s schedule is crazier but thank Goddess, everything came together flawlessly!
Nearly 200 fly-heeled women descended upon Manhattan’s La Vie Lounge on July 26th, 2011 to attend the COCOACHiC and In Her Shoes “Haute Strut Power Speed Networking Event.” The co-branded affair was created to empower entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs, help women expand their business contacts, and express confidence and femininity through fashion. Throughout the evening women had an opportunity to speed network with several “fly female entrepreneurs” profiled here on In Her Shoes: Tricia Lee, Polish Bar of Brooklyn & Select Strands; Dorian Grace, DLux Boutique, Lorraine Natasha West, Tasha West Jewelry; Shakara Bridgers, Get ‘em Girl Inc & Cupcake Suite. Guests also participated in the highly anticipated “Haute Strut” shoe competition to vie for a pair of designer shoes compliments of event sponsor, Tracy Reese. Additional “Haute Strut” event partners included Jones Magazine, Gwyneth Shoes, and JF Lazartigue.
Words can’t express how much I appreciate my fly female entrepreneurs for contributing their time, energy, wisdom, and talent to the Haute Strut event. Each of you truly rock in your own special way!
Special thanks to each and every In Her Shoes reader who joined us for this special evening and DJ CEO for providing the perfect beats to strut to. If you couldn’t make it, we know you were there in spirit! Check out the pics captured by Daphney Boutine of RINY Media:
