Last weekend in Chicago was absolutely beauty-full! As the perfect follow-up to Friday evening’s “Treasure Our Tresses” event, celebrity makeup artist Tia Dantzler hosted her first ever “Beauty Elixer” workshop for aspiring makeup artists, stylists, and industry peers. While makeup and styling isn’t my area of expertise, I still managed to walk away enlightened and empowered since much of what was discussed can easily be applied to any career. Tia and her well-curated panel of seasoned industry professionals (including our girl, Afrobella), provided guests with insider tips on getting into the business, branding, strategy, social media, PR and marketing.
